VIVIAN YUAN is the owner/principal attorney of Yuan Law Firm, APC in Sunnyvale, CA, where her practice focuses on asset protection and estate planning for families, and U.S. and international tax planning for businesses.
Vivian began her career in a boutique tax and estate planning law firm in New York City. Over the years, she has worked at a Big Four accounting firm, advising clients on a wide array of U.S. and international tax planning matters. She has also held in-house tax advisory positions at an investment bank in New York and a Fortune 100 company in San Jose, CA. Prior to starting her own law practice, Vivian was Director of Tax at a large international company headquartered in San Francisco, where she oversaw domestic and international tax operations.
Vivian is licensed to practice in California and New York, as well as before the U.S. Tax Court and several federal district courts in California and New York. She is a member of the Taxation and Trusts & Estates sections and Women In Tax committee of the State Bar of California, and the Taxation and Trusts & Estates sections of the New York State Bar Association. She also serves on the International Estate Planning Committee and the Taxation Committee of the Trusts & Estates section of the NYSBA.
Vivian has a special interest in the issues facing aging seniors and their family members. She has received certifications from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law to serve as elder care mediator and general disputes mediator.
Vivian is a frequent speaker at seminars on asset protection and estate planning.
